Tutor: Francesca Smith

The focus of the course will be on exploring your own artistic territory, gaining confidence in your theatrical voice and developing a deeper understanding of stage language. You will be expected to write scenes and exercises for homework and in class plus develop a small but ambitious work which you can complete during the course. Larger works already in development can be brought to class for exploration of structural clarity only (not for detailed dramaturgical feedback).

Classes will be held on 25 July: 1, 8 & 29 August: 5, 12 & 26 September: 3 October

Course fee: $880

Please tell us if you have done a writing course with Francesca or Open Program and when you did the course. If you haven’t worked with Francesca and wish to have a short interview this will incur a fee of $22.
