THE DIRECTORFor those interested in either stage or screen, this course develops skills and confidence for leading a creative team, motivating a company of performers, and inspiring audiences.
The course covers the director's role and responsibilities, principles of effective storytelling, exploring character and working with other creative roles - designers, writers, actors.
Planning, communication and production skills are also developed. The course will particularly focus on selection of material, developing a concept, and ways of working with actors through the rehearsal process. The course may be of particular interest to Drama teachers who wish to develop their directing proficiency with young people. Entry is by interview.

FEES
The total course cost for 2010 is $2,100 inc. GST payable over 3 instalments of $700
Fees must be paid in advance with a commitment to continue the course for the duration. There will be no refund of fees once the term commences.
