SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

Reflective of the training philosophy of the NIDA Higher Education program, NIDA workshops for secondary school students are practical, with emphasis on learning through doing. 

Secondary School Workshops may be undertaken at NIDA or at your school. Workshops available include:

• Entertainment Workshops
• Customised Workshops

 NIDA also offers HSC Seminars and HSC Drama Workshops. 


ENTERTAINMENT WORKSHOPS

Entertainment  Workshops are suitable for students in years 10,11 and 12.

Lighting Workshops
• The identification of lanterns and lights
• Rigging and patching lights
• Lighting design
• Operating a lighting desk

Sound Workshops
• Use of microphone, cables, amplifiers and speakers
• Operating a sound console
• Sound design

Staging Workshops
• Working with flats and rostra, simple rigging, using power tools and marking up. 

Dates: Available during Terms 1 and 3 
Capacity: Entertainment Workshops are limited to a maximum of 15 students
Cost: $675 3hrs (minimum); $850 4hrs; $930 5hrs.

Capacity: Customised Workshops are limited to a maximum of 25 students.
Cost: $350 1.5hrs (minimum); $450 2hrs; $675 3hrs; $850 4 hrs; $930 5hrs.
