NIDA welcomes applications from New Zealand citizens. A New Zealand citizen is eligible to study in Australia and is not regarded as an international student.
New Zealand citizens pay the same tuition fees as Australian students. However, NZ citizens do not have access to FEE-HELP and must pay their tuition fees each year on enrolment.

New Zealand citizens are not required to hold a student visa for Australia. They must have a valid passport and will automatically be granted a Special Category Visa (SCV) on arrival in Australia. this is not a permanent visa, however it does allow the holder to remain and wok in Australia lawfully as long as that person remains a New Zealand citizen.
