Dear <~~First~~>,
With circus inspired costumes, plates spinning and fairy lights flying, don’t miss NIDA’s The Servant of Two Masters which promises to be a great night at the theatre, as does Love for Love, a racy, juicy restoration comedy… ‘as light and delicious as a meringue, oozing with sexuality, and glittering with wit,’ says Director Adam Cook, (Artistic Director State Theatre Company of SA). Be sure to join NIDA’s Third Year students as they present this tasty Comic Feast – we have a two for one offer on for Love for Love for a limited time only.
Short course offerings for all ages abound in April, and if you are a secondary school drama student, don’t miss NIDA Devised – see details below.
Lastly, save the date – NIDA Open Day, 31 May 2008, 10am – 4pm. Held once very two years, NIDA Open Day is your opportunity to gain insight into studying at NIDA.
Happy Easter and ‘hop’ to it - come and do something dramatic at NIDA. |

Two Australian translations of two great Russian classics, as presented by NIDA’s Second Year students. Gorky’s Summerfolk is a rare theatrical offering - a play with a sting in its tail, arguably as biting today as it was in the Russia of 1904. Poignant and funny, Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya is filled with compassion for the petty, fickle, utterly human beings that we are. What’s in these plays for you, here and now? ‘Your investment in these performances will not go unrewarded – we are perhaps not as isolated and different from each other as we sometimes think,’ says Director of Uncle Vanya, Marcelle Schmitz.

Hop to it and spread the 'Love'! For a limited time, purchase one adult ticket to any performance of Love for Love and receive a complimentary ticket to the same performance.

NIDA Devised is a collection of short performance works for all secondary school drama students. We have a fabulous cast including Julie Goss who has recently performed with Bell Shakespeare and Sean Hall who will appear in Baz Lurhmann’s Australia. The piece will be facilitated by director Mark Gaal and the performance will be followed by demonstrations and a Q&A session with the actors. We recommend booking soon to avoid disappointment.
Dates: 14, 15 May 10.30am or 6.00pm and 16 May at 10.30am Click here to book online or email j.cowell@nida.edu.au
