Dear <~~First~~>,

To those of you who attended NIDA Open Day, thanks for coming and we hope it was a creatively charged day full of drama. We have received some very positive feedback which is encouraging, so if you feel like letting us know what you thought, drop us a line.

If you got artistically inspired on Open Day and fancy turning to something theatrical, evening and weekend short courses for adults commence in June and July and winter holiday warmers in the form of all things dramatic are also on offer this July. For those of you interstate, NIDA is now on tour  and Open Program half-year, part-time courses, auditions and interviews are being held on Saturday 5 July.

We hope you'll be back as an audience member because next month we have a triple bill Shakespeare season on offer, and to give you some insight into one of the productions, this month's vodcast features the Director of Pericles, Gale Edwards. The Shakespeare season is a central point in the Acting students' second year of training, so take a night to see how students from all the courses apply their imaginations and craft to the challenges of some of the worlds' greatest plays - particularly if you are auditioning for NIDA's Acting course, as the application procedure involves a performance of a Shakespeare monologue.

As an audience member at NIDA student productions, you play a crucial role in supporting the students' development over their training and we invite you to travel with them on their creative journey. We also invite all potential applicants -passionate artists who wish to make a mark - to apply to NIDA for full-tme study in 2009 - applications open 1 July.
