Ever wonder how Catherine Martin, Academy Award winning designer of Moulin Rouge began her amazing career?

Like many other film and television professionals she started as a student of NIDA's full-time design course.

NIDA's Bachelor of Dramatic Art (Design) Course offers truly challenging and exciting opportunities for students to work closely with actors, directors, stage managers, technicians and management as members of the production cooperative for NIDA productions.

NIDA's state of the art teaching studios, theatres, soundstages and workshops also provide student designers with access to new technology as it develops, first class faculty guidance and the appropriate spaces to build and explore their imaginary worlds.

NIDA knows that actor training provides an excellent platform for improving business communication skills. The actor’s toolkit, including breathing & vocal exercises, physicality and flexibility can have powerful implications when applied in the business environment. The actor’s main tool is his or her voice, and it fundamentally affects the way in which they are perceived, listened to and remembered by their audience. NIDA’s Voice in Business Communication teaches vocal skills so that you can learn to use your voice as a more flexible and powerful instrument when striving to become a more effective communicator.

The Voice in Business Communication is a one day presentation course utilising the power of your voice as a communication tool. The next course takes place at NIDA in Sydney on the 17 September.
