ABOUT MUSIC THEATRE STREAM
NIDA will offer up to eight places in a specialised Music Theatre stream within the Bachelor of Dramatic Art (Acting) course allowing these students to specialise in this area.
This stream will provide intensive education and training in the disciplines of music theatre with the emphasis on acting.
Successful applicants will be integrated into the three year Acting course and will not be separate from it. Hence, acting is the primary skill required for admission into this specialised stream.
Students will engage in the current education and training offered within the Acting stream of the course including Acting, Improvisation, Movement, Music, Dance, Voice, Acting for Camera, and full involvement in the Shakespeare and Chekhov productions or equivalent.
