Much Ado About Nothing has always been one of Shakespeare's most popular plays. A romantic comedy with serious undertones, the play makes a wry comment on the relationship between the sexes. The play presents one of the most famous love matches in dramatic history, between Beatrice - a strong, rebellious and dominating woman, and Benedict - whose ideas about women are entirely conditioned by military service.
