INTERNATIONAL & interstate PROGRAMs
NIDA Open Program is able to offer overseas and interstate students access to NIDA's facilities and expertise.
Overseas students, interstate and international visitors are welcome to join in any of the scheduled Open Program courses. You can also visit Sydney, Australia for your summer break, whether in January or July for the NIDA Acting Studio. Our 2-4 week studio courses offer an intensive full-time introduction to acting techniques for theatre, film and TV.
Confirmed tutors for the upcoming July studio include Nicholas Bishop (Walking on Water, My Mother Frank, Home & Away) and acclaimed actress and director Jennifer Hagan (Sydney Theatre Company, Melbourne Theatre Company).
Open Program also arranges specially designed short courses for overseas student groups. This training can take place at NIDA in Sydney or overseas. NIDA has completed training courses in Malaysia and Vanautu and hosted Japanese students.

| 2009 NIDA ACTING STUDIO FOR JAPANESE STUDENTS
This intensive actor training program is designed for Japanese university students and is held at NIDA in Sydney. Develop acting for theatre, film and television, working with Australian industry experts. Extend your performance skills in voice, improvisation and physical theatre. Work with scripts for both stage and screen. The studio includes a presentation of scene work in a NIDA venue. An interpreter will be arranged during classes.

The NIDA Acting Studio is designed for people, 18 years of age and above, with some experience or training, who wish to commit to a comprehensive acting course. Choose either three or four weeks full-time training, developing your acting skills as part of a highly motivated group, and working with industry experts and the best NIDA tutors. Emphasis is on learning techniques to perform fearlessly and truthfully for stage and screen.
Sydney in January boasts the Australian summer and the Sydney Festival featuring great theatre, dance and music events throughout the city. The world-famous Bondi and Coogee beaches are also close at hand for recreation and leisure.
The NIDA Acting Studio will take place at NIDA in Sydney, using the world class facilities at the NIDA Kensington campus. Entry to the NIDA Acting Studio is by selection. Please complete the application form, and send it to us along with:
• A one page resume detailing relevant experience and/or training
• A statement as to why you wish to participate in the course
We will select participants based on the quality of their application. The size of groups will be restricted to ensure individual attention.
