Ensemble acting classes over 4 terms for ages 15 to 17.

This one year course is designed for dedicated drama students to develop their acting skills as part of an ensemble. The group meets every Sunday afternoon during school term. Core content includes voice, movement, improvisation, scene work, devising theatre and screen acting. Participants are exposed to a variety of performance styles and have a number of opportunities for presentations, including an end of year performance in a NIDA theatre. Entry is by audition. Please prepare a one minute piece to perform on your own based on one of the following topics: In the Future or Forks and Knives

DATES

Classes are held on consecutive Sundays

Term 1: 15 February to 5 April (8 weeks  )
Acting, improvisation, voice, movement

Term 2: 3 May to 28 June (8 weeks- no class on June 7)
Scene work, characterization, devising theatre

Term 3: 2 August to 20 September (8 weeks)
Screen acting, monologues

Term 4: 18 October to 13 December (9 weeks)
Devising a performance

TIMES & COSTS

Sundays 12.00pm - 5.00pm

Fees: $2,700 payable over 5 instalments of $540.

Entry is by audition.  Applications for entry into the 2009 course are now open.
