Schools @ NIDANIDA Open nurtures the creativity of young Australians and provides professional development for Australian teachers through drama.
Schools @ NIDA 2012 encourages students and teachers to visit NIDA for tours, workshops, seminars and short courses. NIDA tutors can visit schools as artist-in-residence, teacher, performer or guest speaker.
NIDA has an educational e-news Blackboard. This is sent out four times a year and is designed specifically for teachers providing information on courses, productions and other NIDA news of interest.

Our courses offer innovative teaching strategies for subjects such as English, Drama, Entertainment, Music, Dance, Visual Arts, Design and Technology and HSIE. NIDA Open's philosophy is that an experience of drama in early life supports personal development through creative thinking, collaboration and communication skills. It is these skills that are invaluable as a child and throughout adult life. NIDA also has learning resourses available. We have released a Contemporary Australian Theatre Practise resource which can be purchased by contacting NIDA Open.
